Saddle up, Atomic Buckaroos, we're back with another of our patented "So you don't think you like..." episodes, where we dive into a genre that might not be your cup of rotgut and tell you why you should give it another go.

It's been a long, dusty trail for the American western, but it's not all saddle spurs and gunshot wounds. There is some real heart in them thar hills and the AWOC will talk about older gems, westerns that have aged like fine wine, great modern fare and maybe a few westerns that aren't really...or are. Don't worry, we sort it out. And Chad wants to apologize profusely for forgetting The Valley of Gwangi. The poster is on the wall of his house, for God's sake.
