AWoC: Episode 20 - Alternative Reality Power Hour

What if JFK had survived Oswald’s bullet? What if Hitler had gotten accepted to art school? What if Tom Selleck had played Indiana Jones?

It’s that last question that most interests us here at the Atomic Weight of Cheese and it’s a great jumping off point for some cult cinema alternative realities. We come up with those casting choices that would have strangled a franchise, those moments that would have changed careers and, of course, how Jackie Chan and Elvis could have ended up performing a duet on the set of Cannonball Run.

AWOC: Skinamarink and general boobery

Skinamarinkee dinkee deese, it’s the Atomic Weight of Cheese. This episode it’s a bit of round table madness as Mike and Chad have strong feelings about horror film de jour, Skinamarink that leads to a larger conversations about fear in general. We take a quick look at the new zombie/Pedro Pascal show de jour, The Last of Us. The we round it out with some good, old fashioned complaining about streaming services, because why not? Plus recommendations and more general boobery. We appreciate you listening! Follow us at  @AWOCPodcast  on Twitter,  like us on Facebook  and leave us a review. AWOC: To Fold or To Stand Pat: That is the Question.

We’re back and, to be honest, we’re stuck. Stuck in the same shows. Stuck in the same series. Stuck even though they might not be as good as they once were. Stuck even though we’ve been disrespected in the past. Stuck even though…it’s the same show. Whatever the case, we’re stuck and in this podcast, we ask ourselves if that’s a good thing or not. Join us on this little soul search of ours and stay for the recommendations. We appreciate you listening! Follow us at  @AWOCPodcast  on Twitter,  like us on Facebook  and leave us a review. AWOC: Pardon us. Would you have any Grey Poupon?

Hmm, yes, this episode of the Atomic Weight of Cheese is quite sophisticated, I must say. Very top shelf as we discuss the topic of pretension. [removes pipe from mouth] You see, we’ve come across some media recently that seems to feel as though it is more important, you see, than the text would indicate and as such has…dare I say it…raised our hackles a bit. Hmm. That Chad fellow even raises his voice, if memory serves. It brought about quite the robust conversation that we hope you will continue on our [squints through monocle] social media. Oh yes, quite strange indeed. Follow us at  @AWOCPodcast  on Twitter,  like us on Facebook  and leave us a review.
